2 Smart
“2Smart” is a roadshow which tours Essex schools each year delivering a range of thought provoking messages about drugs, alcohol and staying safe.
The London Bus Theatre Company will be performing three scenes and a new
original "2Smart" song..
In sketch 1 we see Jason and Deano out on the street, drunk, showing off
with a knife. Charlotte and Charlie from a rival school St Montagues are on
their way home and bullying ensues. Events take a turn for the worse. The
scene shows that carrying a knife has serious consequences for everyone in
the gang.
The second sketch is set on a school bus. Jason is supposed to be looking
after his little sister but is busy causing havoc with Deano. They let off a
fire extinguisher, distract the driver and bully Charlotte and Charlie. When
Jason realises his weed stash isn't where it was supposed to be road safety
becomes compromised with a shocking end result.
The final sketch is an original game show based on the format of "Deal or no
deal". Did you know for instance that alcohol is the most common drug to
spike soft drinks, like lemonade, in order to make you unconscious and rob
you? Other facts about drugs are given throughout the scene leaving everyone
with a thorough understanding of substance misuse. Charlotte's game becomes
her personal epiphany. Will the drug dealer make an offer she can't refuse?"
